The first days of the new year are already surprising. A powerful storm is raging over the Baltics. Those who risk taking a walk on the seashore are met with saltwater and sand right into the face. The ships are almost torn off the moorages and the powerful wind is devastating the area.
But in Germany, the shining sun has spoiled the traditional winter-swimmer festival. The organizators could not find any ice-hole and the participants had to swim in open-water. In the last year the temperature was -10 centigrade, this time it was +11 and the water-temperature was +4.
In Moscow you can easily find green grass instead of usual in this time of year snow. A rare vision - a child has made a snowman and his parents are trying to make a photo without snapping the green grass too.
And weather forecasts do not promise any temperature falls. It should be still warm till the weekend. |
