On Sunday, the 6th of May on the artificial island "Pal Jumeirah" in Dubai a fire has broken out. According to the head of the city civilian defence station, an unfinished 7-storey building has caught fire. The fire department has immediately arrived to the incident location and have managed to put down the fire. Fortunately there were no injuries.
The Island where the incident took place is one of the artificial islands in a complex of islands forming a palm. "The Palm" project, with the total cost of 14 billion dollars, already called "the eighth wonder of the world" is nearly completed and most part of the islands is already sold out. The owners of the islands are constructing buildings and infrastructure there. |
