Huge inflatable man attracts tourists to the park

14 May. 2007

Several days ago in the main park of Milan - Sempione - has appeared a 21 meter tall inflatable naked man slowly waving in the wind. It is supposed that this project, having the name "One of the many" symbolizes the fragility of the mankind. The anatomically correct sculpture is the auto-portrait of the polish artist Pavel Althamer - does not raise any serious protests, but some of the visitors are complaining and say that the children walking in the park should not look at "that".

The representative of the Nicola Trussardi Fund that sponsors the exhibition of the inflatable art said that due to the big naked man more than 3000 tourists have visited the park in the last three days. Most of the visitors have looked with the interest at the sculpture.
