China has arranged as they say - the first underwater golf tournament in the world, that has taken place in the Zuohai Aquarium in the Fuzhou city, the Fujian province. Five players have taken part in the tournament. The playground was a tank that had 15 meters depth.
The rules of the underwater golf are the same as usual. The first participant getting his ball in the hole wins.
But the players are appreciated also by the time they needed to attack a hole and the number of hits is not counted.
"The underwater makes the tournament more interesting. The game is affected by the fishes, sea mammals and the water streams that confuse the player and disturb the direction of the ball.
The underwater streams make also the trajectory of the ball unpredictable, said one of the participants of the tournament.
The result of the winner was 1 minute and 20 seconds. The last of the players has managed to do it in five minutes. |
