This night at the shores of New Guinea there was a 6th grade earthquake. The scientists have already calculated the epicenter and there were no sea disturbances.
The earthquake was at 10:40 local time (01.40 GMT). According to the information of the American Universities seismologic service, the epicentre of the underground shocks was located about 700 kilometers to the North from the Papua New Guinea capital - the Moresby port and the quake was approximately 10 kilometers deep.
In spite of the 6th measure, there is no information about the victims and tsunami threat. |
