High speed has connected Paris and Strasbourg

The high-speed train TGV V-150 will start today the new route Paris-Strasbourg.

The arrival of the train in Strasbourg is expected after 2 hour and 40 minutes after the departure. The speed of the train will reach 320 km/h.

The regular commercial usage of the new route will begin on Sunday. With this branch line you could get from Paris to Reims in 45 minutes (currently 1 hour 40 minutes), to Nancy in 1,5 hours instead of 2 hours and 45 minutes and to Strasbourg - in 2 hours 20 minutes instead of the current 4 hours.

This branch line is planned to be continued in Germany.
