An abandoned multistory apartment house in the Liverpool Center has become a piece of art and a local point of interest.
This unusual project named Turning the Place Over has been put into practice by British sculpture Richard Wilson. He cut off a piece of frontage of the former Yates's Wine Lodge building, situated on the opposite side to Moorfields Railway station, and made it spin on a giant rotator. The cutout piece has the shape of an egg the size of which allows the passers-by to look into the house, It's possible to feast one's eyes with the sight up to Spring'08 when the building will be knocked down.
We remind that Liverpool has been announced the cultural capital of Europe '08. |
