Millions of tourists from all over the world will gather in Notting Hill - on the 26th of August (last Sunday of the month) starts the 43rd Notting Hill Carnival. It is one of the largest street festivals in Europe, which gives way by popularity only to Brazilian Carnival. Notting Hill receives about 2 million guests annually.
The history of the holiday started in 1960's, when Caribbean Diaspora which had immigrated in 50', brought its musical traditions and color to the preset-day carnival.
