Because of the unjustified price of stay in Hawaii hotels, the most of the tourists prefer to rent apartments or even stay in tents: in the last five months the attendance of the island hotels is decreased to 74,4%. The local authorities affirm that the hotels are still highly popular among Japanese travelers - they make about 95% of the visitors. The high costs of the stay is mainly because of that the most hotels were recently renewed and now their owners try to recover the costs as quickly as possible.
To avoid the decrease of the amount of the visitors in Hawaii, the larges hotel brands, such as Hyatt, Hilton, Marriott and Starwood have introduced several discount and bonus systems: the tourists receive with their reservation free entrances to spa-centers, a tour or free child nights. Nevertheless, the prices are expected to be kept at the same level. |
