Air France has created at their site the calculator of the polluting emission that is generated during the flight of one passenger for the indicated route. So each passenger can calculate exactly his personal damage to the environment. For example the flight of one passenger from Moscow via Paris to St. Paolo and back, making 25406 kilometers leads to the emission of 2278 kilograms of CO2 into the atmosphere.
The airline promises to enhance the service with a new feature - the possibility to compensate the harm to the environment. The passengers will be able to pay a certain amount at the site that will be used in the ecological projects. |
