The hottest day in Japan over the last 74 years was registered- the air temperature in the prefectures of Gifu and Saitama raised till 40.9 C.
Weather research center of Japan reports that the burning weather was brought by the area of high atmosphere pressure which had spread over the region of Kanto around Tokyo and the central part of Japan on Thursday.
Right after noon the temperature in the prefectures Gifu and Saitama raised till 40.9C exceeding the record index of 40.8C in the city of Yamagata in the north part of the island Honshu 74 years ago.
The temperature in the city Koshigaya near Tokyo and in two other cities have also exceeded 40C rate.
In such big cities as Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka were registered temperatures approximately from 38C to 39C, and these were the hottest days of this summer. |
