Nigerian police officers have detained a ram because it was the reason of the accident in Lagos. The animal lost its way and reached the Murtala Mohammed international airport and became the reason of the accident during which a taxi, a lorry and a private vehicle was damaged.
According to the eyewitness, the taxi driver has noticed the animal and sharply put on the brakes. After that those transport vehicles that were going behind him bumped into the taxi. The ram was arrested and taken to the police station for its illegal appearance on the road.
The chief police officer explained that the animal was taken to the police station for the appropriate paper work.
The incident when an animal is becoming an obstacle in vehicular traffic is not the first one.
In 2005 a lost cow in a runway of the Nigerian airport Port Harcourt resulted in the emergency landing of the airplane. |
