The passengers don't trust the airlines' explanations

21 Aug. 2007

A recent poll of over 1000 travelers held by the company Opinion Research Corp has revealed what bothers passengers most of all during a flight.

The first place was given by the travelers to the delay and abolition of the flights (32% of questioned). Baggage loss came to the second place (13% of questioned). With all this adults older than 35 years are more often concerned with the flight delay, while the youth is worried much more about its luggage. Besides, the higher a person is in social position the more irritated he feels about the necessity to sit at the airport and wait till the flight time comes. The passengers almost got used to the new rules of the airlines. Only 5 % of the interrogated people are bothered with the restrictions during the flight and only 12% are nervous because of the long queues at registration area or at the customs.

38% of poll participants were even in their mistrust in those explanations that airlines usually give to defend the flights' delay and cancellation.
