Traditional Snow Festival in Japan

The exact ice-copy of the King of Thailand's Palace and detailed arctic ice-breaker made of snow are the highlights of the traditional "Snow festival" opened today in Sapporo on the most northern island Hokkaido.

About 300 exhibits and sculptures of various sizes made of ice and snow are presented. On the streets of Sapporo central part you could see the legendary palace of the persian King Darius I and part of the Forbidden City that was the residence of the chinese imperators of the Min and Zin dynasties.
