In Brussels the famous beer weekend has begun; it is being held for 8 years in a row at the central square Grand-Place. This year the guests of the festival will be able to try more than 100 sorts of beer from 53 Belgian breweries.
The entrance in the beer campus is free, still in order to try the Belgian beer you will need to obtain a special currency - bottle taps which are being sold on the spot. A beaker of beer will cost you at least 3 taps. They are sold in an unlimited quantity but the tasting stalls will be closed at 10 PM.
On Saturday on the occasion of the beer weekend, which is usually visited by thousands of tourists, will be held the brewer parade, traditionally organized by the Confederation of the Belgian breweries. Belgians are proud that their country produces the biggest quantity of beer sorts: you can find about 400 of them in shops at least.
