In the province of Avellino of the Italian region Campania on the 13th-16th of September will be held the traditional pizza festival. The place of celebration is the small city of Montoro-Superiore, at the central square of which will gather about 80 pizzaioli - masters of making pizza. From 19.00 till 1 in the night wood furnaces will be stoked here and all this time hot fresh flavoured pizza will be taken out of them.
At special stands the guests of the feast will have the opportunity to try other national specialities and get acquainted with the mastery of the local craftsmen. The feast program presupposes the performances of music and theatre bands. The entrance is free of charge.
