Seven years later the world's millennium celebration Ethiopians have come together to see the new century in. Ethiopia uses Coptic calendar, not Gregorian which is wide-spread. The celebration has been held in the night-time. The Black Eyed Peas, an American pop-group has been asked to the celebration and gave a performance in an expensive concert hall built on the occasion of the ceremony.
Before the millennium celebration people gathered for the worship which took place in Addis-Ababa in The Holy Trinity Church (where the emperor of Ethiopia was covered with sod). Standing in the candles light the audience was waiting for the Ethiopian Eastern Orthodoxy Patriarch.
