OAG company has published the list of the most intense avia routes of the world. The leader became the line Madrid - Barcelona - 971 flights in a week (this equals to 139 flights a day, 69,5 in each part). On the route Sao Paulo - Rio de Janeiro is made up to 894 flights in a week, Seoul - Cheju - 858, Melbourne - Sydney - 851. Next lines following the list are: Cape Town - Johannesburg, Delhi - Mumbai (Bombay), Tokyo - Sapporo, Djakarta - Surabaya, Honolulu - Kahului, Tokyo - Fukuoka Further follow. On all these routes the daily flights number in each side is 45 and more.
As one would expect, almost all the intense routes are internal. The leader among the international ones became line Taipei - Hong Kong (about 595 flights). However, this result is a little bit artificial - because of the interdiction on direct flights between China and Taiwan the travel through Hong Kong is the basic thoroughfare. Then follows the line London - Amsterdam with approximately 350 flights. |
