Luxemburg has become the most expensive capital in the world.

27 Sep. 2007

Luxemburg is overtaking European capitals in prices for real estate. The Great Duchy capital where the average price for a standard flat is 485 000 euro has superseded from the leading position even London where the same flat costs 440 000 euro in average.

The group of ERA companies involving more than thousand real-estate agencies has performed the research in 16 member states of the European Union, - Figaro, the French newspaper is reporting. The European fairest prices for real estate are in Sophia (Bulgaria) where the average cost of a flat is 78 000 euro, and 94% of citizens have their own real estate.

In general, researchers notice the tendency of coming down in prices for real estate in the Old World. However it is not about Dublin, Lisbon and Brussels.
