In the context of a great repair works, The Savoy Hotel in London will give to it's guests the possibility of achieving some things that previously could be seen in the hotel's interior. On the 18th of December 2007 there is going to be an auction where 3000 objects will leave the tray, including lamps, mirrors, silvery and art pieces.
Kieran Mc Donald, the general manager of the Savoy, named this action as being the first step on the way to a future Savoy. Here will be developed a 16 month long repair and reconstruction work beginning with the 15 of December. The rooms, the restaurants, the halls and the court of the hotel will be changed. The designer of the project, Piere-Yves Rochon, is famous for his work with The Four Seasons Georges V Hotel in Paris and Le Hermitage Hotel in Monaco.
Things from Savoy's famous suits will be sold at the auction, including Monet Suite, The Richard Harris Suite and The Royal Opera House Suite. Things from The River Restaurant and from hotel's living -room will also leave the tray. The income from the auction will go to charity causes.
