The world biggest open air art festival "Cow Parade" has started in Rio de Janeiro. Plastic cows painted by sketches of more then 100 Brazil painters were placed on the seafront of the world famous beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema. The participants of the show are displayed in the streets and squares and also at the terminals of the airports, stations and undergrounds. Though the Rio citizens are spoiled by different cultural shows, the cow defile aroused their and tourists' interest. They are taking photos with great pleasure.
According to organizers of the festival which will continue till the 29 of November "Cow Parade" is the world biggest funny open air festival. Scenes painted on the cows backs strikes by its variety.
In 1998 in Zurich passed the first charity "Cow Parade". About 30 countries in the world have participated in the show.
At the end of the festival the show-pieces are up for auction and received money is going for charitable purpose. About 11 million dollars were received since the show had started.
