The biggest big wheel will be constructed in the China capital. The construction of a 208 metres high object will be finished in 2009. The big wheel called "Beijing Sky Boat" will be turning 48 capsules, each rated for 40 people. The construction is to cost 99 million dollars for the Chinese.
The opening was fixed up for August, 2008 - by the beginning of Olympics. But according to the data provided by the building company, the construction is being drawing out. A reduced copy of Beijing Wheel 165 metres high will be built in Singapore after its opening.
The Chaoyan Park visitors will have the possibility to enjoy the city's fine view by using the "Sky Boat". However, the visibility in Beijing from time to time doesn't exceed several hundred metres because of air pollution.
British London Eye ride, which is 135 metres high, is considered the biggest big wheel in the world for the moment.
