The plane of the Estonian airline "Estonian Air", headed from London to Tallinn, has been forced to land in Hamburg because of malfunction of its flight computer.
According to the information of the Estonian TV obtained from the passengers, who have arrived with another plane, the liner has taken off from London on Tuesday, but during the flight the pilot-captain has informed, that because of the malfunction of its navigating system the plane will have an emergency landing in Hamburg.
There was no panic on the board, but the greatest excitement among the passengers was caused by appearance of the German fighter jets which were accompanying the passenger plane till the landing.
«Our plane has landed safely on a spare runway, all the passengers have been accommodated in a hotel, and a regular plane from Hamburg has brought everybody to their homes", - the representative of "Estonian Air" has said.
He noted, that landing of the passenger plane accompanied by fighter jets is quite unusual thing, but the German authorities were afraid, that the Estonian plane could get out of control and that is why accompanied it until the last minute of its flight. |
