Airports become shopping-centers

25 Nov. 2007

After the tragedy of September, 11th more and more big shops for travelers with goods for any taste appear at the airports. The reason is simple: for the purpose of safety they recommend passengers to come to the airport two-three hours prior to their departure, and it means, that frequently they have to spend this excess time somehow. Opening of huge shopping-centers solves this problem partly: tourists can wander from one boutique to another one, looking at the assortment.

Besides, many passengers remember about their necessary things left at home at the last moment and buy new ones, according to the information of consumerist.com. Owners of large store networks mention, that trading at the airports is quite a profitable business because of huge circulation. At many airports one can already get everything - from jewelry to children's toys, and, according to the forecasts, the number of such shops will constantly increase.
