The official presentation of the Titicaca lake as a candidate for the nomination of the Natural wonder of the world will take place on December, 9th in Bolivia.
The advisor of this initiative in Bolivia is José Luis Paredes Muñoz, the prefect of La Paz de Agacucho. The program is submitted for popularization of the Bolivian part of Titicaca lake, as a tourist route at the district of Uatahata- till the isles of Sun (las Islas del Sol) and Lina, with the end-point in the Copacabana resort.
Especially for the tourists in the limits of the program each stop will include the performances of the indigenous artists, based on the mystical rituals, dedicated to "Pachamama" (mother-land), characteristic for the Aymara culture.
The Titicaca lake is a most important water resource for the whole population. According to the preserved information, at the seaside of Titicaca from ancient times lived two tribes of the Aymara Chuli-Indians and Lupacas being at enmity with each other |
