Shopping in Finland: shops work during weekends in sale season

The shops in Finland changed their working hours again to extended, because of the beginning of the high tourist season. We remind you that shops in this country usually open on Sundays only in summer. The rest of the time their working hours are as follows: from 9.00 to 18.00 on weekdays and from 9.00 to 14.00 on Saturdays. Shopping centers are open from 9.00 to 21.00 on weekdays and from 9.00 to 18.00 on Saturdays.

Now, in November and December, the Finland shops work on Sundays as well (30th of December inclusive), mostly from 12.00 to 21.00. You can do shopping on 31 of December from 07.00 to 18.00. On 1st of January, the shops will be closed.

The Finland tourist development center also reminds that the sale period begins at the beginning of January - discounts can come up to 70%. At the same time, the major sales will take place in France, however their exact date still hasn't been announced.
