In March during several weeks there will be a grandiose Wine and Food festival with the best Chef-Cooks of the world. Each festival day is dedicated to the presentation of the culinary traditions of a specific country - Japan, Senegal, India, Italy. Master-classes will take place, mini cocktail-festivals and cheese-menu. On the 15th of March all guests are invited to the unbelievably large gala-dinner (the Longest Lunch): on the Telstra Dome Stadium there will be a long table for 1500 persons. After the Dinner, the fun will be continued at the after-party in one of the night-clubs of Melbourne.
The culmination of the festival is the Flour Festival, taking place on the 24th and 25th of March in Melbourne. On the main square of the city - the Federation Square - everybody can witness the confection of various flour-dishes in the national pavilions of the Festival guests. The best cooks of Melbourne and Victoria will demonstrate their talents on the main stage. Also the Victorian wineries and breweries will present their products there. |
