The biggest Christmas candle in the world was lit in the Christmas market of the German town of Schlitz in the east of the land Hessen.
It represents a decorated 36-meter high stone tower on the top of which approximately 140 many-colored electric bulbs are assembled in the form of a 6-meter flame.
All visitors may ascend the upper platform of the candle-tower in the lift and admire the fairy-tale view of the Christmas market. The giant symbol of the main winter holiday is recorded in the Guinness Book of records. The Christmas candle has been lit in Schlitz since 1992. |
