Starting with 21 December the citizens of the Czech Republic shall not have to present their passports on entrance to their neighbor countries like Germany, Austria and other European Schengen countries.
The Ministers of Internal Affairs of the EU countries have signed an agreement on cancellation of border control within the Schengen Area. The new rules shall refer not only to the Europeans, bur also to the tourists who shall be able to go from the Czech Republic to any country of the Schengen Area without getting a new visa starting with 21 December. Slovakia, Hungary, Poland and the Baltic countries have also joined the Schengen Area together with the Czech Republic. |
