A snowman theme park and a hotel made of snow are planned to be built in the Norwegian city of Målselv. In this way, the small city with the population of 6600 citizens hopes to compete with popular "Santa Claus' Village" in the neighboring Lapland. "A snowman - is an authentic, natural character, which associates with winter. And Santa Claus represents a vulgar, commercial product made of plastic, who should not be recommended for children," thinks the project manager Even Hegbom. According to him, Norwegian authorities already began the process of changing the name of the airport in the Bardufoss city to "The International Snowman Airport." |
