An accusation was brought to some major British restaurant networks against of the fact that they are not able to give the information to the customers regarding the expiration date and the place of production of the products which are included in the dish. In accordance with the data presented in the Ethical Consumer magazine in the small restaurants such a problem appears more rarely.
The restaurants were assessed according to the criteria of the presence of organic natural products, their quality and the choice for the vegetarians. As it turned out many owners say that dishes are prepared exclusively from wholesome ingredients, yet they know nothing about where these ingredients were produced. Some of them include in the menu one or two ecological dishes, while the others represent fast-food. These include the restaurants as: Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Wetherspoons and Pitchers & Piano.
As The Guardian reports, in conformity with the research results Loch Fyne was named the most honest institution. Despite the fact that the vegetarians do not represent the client majority of public catering, in analysts' opinion it is impossible not to pay attention to the fact that their rights are impaired. |
