Leonel Fernandes, the President of the Dominican Republic, has signed a Decree on facilitation of the entrance visa regime.
The Decree 690-07 provides holders of effective visas of the USA, Canada, the EU countries (parties to the Schengen Agreement) and Great Britain the right for the visa-free entrance to the country. People belonging to this category enter the Dominican Republic by means of a tourist card irrespective of their nationality.
The Decree 691-07 cancels visa entrance for citizens of the following states: Andorra, Bahrain, Belize, Botswana, Brunei, Cyprus, the United Arab Emirates, Estonia, Fiji, Grenada, Guyana, Buwe Island, Iceland, Herd Island and McDonald Islands, North Mariana Islands, Marshall Islands, Solomon Islands, Kazakhstan, Kiribati, Kuwait, Latvia, Lichtenstein, Lithuania, Micronesia, Malaysia, Malta, Mauritius, Namibia, ?????, Qatar, South African Republic, Romania, Samoa, Seychelles, Singapore, Thailand, Tonga, Turkey, Tuvalu, Vanuatu. Citizens of the above countries may also enter the Dominican Republic by means of a tourist card bought in the airport of arrival for $10. |
