The mechanical cow, emitting steam at a fixed time, became a new place of interest of Scotland's capital.
The cow's back part, attached to the pub's Rowan Tree wall in Edinburgh's historical district Old Town, lifts its mechanical tail and emits steam thrice a day.
The mechanism, working according the a watch, allows to synchronize the time in such a way, likewise another Edinburgh's place of interest - One O'clock Gun, the cannon, shooting at 1 p.m. every day.
The cow was placed there more than a year ago, but the mechanism, allowing it to steam, was set up not long ago.
However, the cow managed to gain popularity among both inhabitants and tourists.
Norry Rowen, the owner of a pub said: "The cow has already become popular all over Edinburgh, this is why hundreds of tourists pass by my pub, all the time taking photos of it." |
