In Norway, in the winter park Hunderfossen an ice hotel will be opened soon. It will be the southernmost ice hotel in the world.
The hotel will include 15 rooms, in which 40 guests can be accommodated at once, and also saunas, a restaurant, a conference hall and even a fireplace. However, air temperature in the rooms will vary from -3 to -7 degrees centigrade.
100 trucks of snow and 50 tons of ice were used for the construction of the Snow Queen's Palace.
Finnish and Norwegian resorts began to offer ice hotels as a kind of a tourist attraction and simultaneously as a place for accommodation several years ago. |
