A group of Kamchatkan alpinists have conquered the Kilimanjaro volcano in Tanzania. This is the highest point in Africa and the biggest volcano on the planet. It's height is 5 thousands 895 meters, the crater area is 30 of square kilometres. In the organizing committee of the ascent they have told that the alpinists started the climbing to the top at January 10, the climbing was lasting during 6 days. Now, at the top of Kilimanjaro the flag of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatski is fixed. |
