Since January, 1 the Hamburg airport forbids smoking in all general rooms of its terminals. Since this date the new local law, ordering liquidation of all smoking zones, comes into force. In January all smoking compartments at the airport will be dismantled, and it will be forbidden to smoke in bars and restaurants.
The smokers can inhale a cigarette in the open air in front of the terminal building where the ashtrays are placed for them. One more opportunity to make a smoke break will be before the takeoff - in the special small boothes in "a pure zone" of the airport after passing the safety control. The similar measures are already taken at all railroad stations and trains of Germany and of some other countries of Europe. |
