Tourism is one of the basic sources of income of the Mexican economy. Mexico is one of the leaders of world tourism. The secretary of tourism Sectur has informed, that for the first 10 months 2007 Mexico has earned 19 billion 520 million tourist dollars, that is by 7,3 % more, than for the same period of the last year. From January till November the country has been visited by 17 million 465 thousand foreign tourists, their average expenses amount has made up 755 dollars per person, that is by 6,7% more than in the last year. In the summary communique Sectur has specified, that the balance of sector keeps positive parameters, having increased on 17,4 % and having reached 3 billion 821 million dollars. 5 million 532 thousand passengers have arrived with cruise liners to Mexico, that is by 10% more, than for 10 months of the year 2006. |
