A three thousand tones building in Vietnam was moved on 50 meters by means of special equipment. There was a plan to build a new object on it's place. Building's owners decided to shift that building instead of destroying it.
A two-storeyed building was situated in the hi-tech zone Hoalak, in northern province Hatay. However it got onto the territory that supposed to be cleared out for construction of 80-kilometer water-pipe from Hoabini to Hanoi. The owners of the building - one of joint ventures administration - decided not to demolish, but just move it away from water-pipe construction.
Displacement of the building lasted 5 days and was carried out with the help of hydraulic lifting jacks, cylinders and other special equipment. According to the owners' expenses for all the operations made up about $ 100 000. |
