According to the Internet voting, a charming two-month-old polar bear-cub from the zoo of the German city of Nuremberg was named Flocke (Snowflake).
Not long ago the small creature obtained its own official web-site. Its visitors have proposed more than 50 thousand versions of names. However, the majority of them have spoken in support of the tender nickname, given to the bear-cub during the first days of its life. Flocke became famous all over the world after the zoo personnel had taken it away from the cage of its aggressive mother-bear and begun to feed it from the bottle. The specialists were afraid that the bear-cub would die of lack of essential components of mother's milk in the artificial mixture.
However, Flocke is fine so far: its weight makes up almost 3 kilos. The bear-cub likes fawning and playing, however it roars if anything is not to its liking. It can already compete in popularity with another famous bear called Knut, predicted by many people to be its fiancé! |
