Speed Limits are Set up at Ski Tracks

9 Jan. 2008

Alpine skiers who plan to ski in Switzerland should be ready for a surprise. Country's authorities have fixed the speed limits at ski tracks.

It is worth mentioning that everything would be strictly organized. Watching cameras and speed detectors - everything like in police, would be installed at all Swiss resorts. If the skier exceeds the speed at 30 km/h he will be immediately fined or deprived of the pass to the slope. Usually, 30 km/h is the speed of the novice skier; professionals have it at least two times higher.

By assuming such measures, civil servants are planning to secure the lives of the skiers. While studying the statistics it has emerged that only during last year seventy thousand of accidents, including lethal ones were registered in Swiss Alps.
