After the 1st of January when the law came into effect that interdicts smoking in public places, the smokers in Paris have nothing more to do than go to Smoker's Museum (Musee du Fumeur), situated in the XI-th district of French capital. In the museum's show rooms various smoking accessories from all the times and nations are exhibited. Besides the permanent exposition, also thematic exhibitions take place there. Thus, on the 22nd of August there will be opened an exposition dedicated to Oriental culture of smoking. At present time tourists can visit an exhibition called 'Smokers' Caricatures since XVII century till our days', where works of expert masters of that genre are presented - not only by French, but also by foreign artists. The exhibition will last until June 31st. The Museum is situated at the following address: Pache st, 7, Voltaire subway station. Hours of Service - from 14:00 to 19:00. The cost of a ticket varies from 3 to 4 Euros. |
