In London the Travelodge hotel is being built of the unusual building material - cargo containers. Workers are assembling the hotel like a children's construction set putting a cube after another. There are more than 80 of such metal boxes here. Inside they are equipped not worse than a usual room of the economical class.
Cost of residence will be 19 pounds (25 euros) per day, what does not exceed the price in other hotels of the Travelodge network. The special feature of the hotel of containers will become the opportunity to disassemble it easily and carry to another place in case of necessity.
Londoners differ in their opinions concerning the strange hotel: some people consider it to be ugly and spoiling surrounding look, others think it is an original and attractive hotel. It is supposed, that the hotel will be opened in June. |
