At the American airports the control of terrorist suspects has been increased. Now the members of the institution take tourists' fingerprints not only of 2 fingers as earlier but of 10.
According to the experts, the procedure passes very quickly. A computer just in a few seconds will compare fingerprints of the tourist entering the country with the millions of fingerprints of those who are in the lists of the FBI and the databases of the Department of Security.
The new system is already used at the airport "Dallas" in Washington, at the airport of Atlanta and the airport "Logan". All the others airports will be converted to the "10-finger method" by the end of February. |
