Ryanair demands up to ¤22 for one item of luggage

24 Jan. 2008

Europe's largest budget airline Ryanair continues to raise its fees for the checked in luggage and registration at the airport. Since January, 23rd the payment for each item of luggage has been increased from £10 up to £12 (from ¤12 up to ¤18). If payment is made preliminary on a web-site, the discount is 50 % for the first bag. Besides, passengers, who check their luggage, inevitably pay also for their registration at the airport as the online-registration is closed for them. The tariff for this service is raised from £2 up to £3 (from ¤3 up to ¤ 4). Thus, the passenger with one item of luggage without its preliminary payment on a web-site will spend at the airport ¤22, with the advance payment - ¤13. Two bags will cost him ¤40 and ¤31 accordingly.
