On the 7th of February Columbia celebrated the Day without cars under the motto "The Clean Air Day".
The number of cars that drove into the streets of Bogota, the capital of Columbia, from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. was 1 million smaller than usual.
This action was organized by the republic's authorities. On that day driving was fined with $118. In order to ensure transport service 8 thousand buses and 50 thousand taxi cars were allowed to the city streets. |
