The Association of British Travel Agencies (ABTA) has made an assumption which events in 2008 will attract the biggest amount of tourists.
The list includes the following events:
The Olympic Games in Beijing. According to ABTA, the Olympic Games will increase the demand for the tours to China not only in 2008 but also in 2009.
The anniversary of the state of Israel which will be 60 in 2008.
European Soccer Championship in Austria and Switzerland which will take place this summer.
The exhibition "Expo 2008". It will be taking place in a Spanish city of Saragossa from the 14th of June till the 14th of September.
The road show of the film made by the novel "Love in the Time of Cholera" written by Gabriel García Márquez. It was made in Columbia, in the town of Cartagena which is considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in South America. |
