The opening of the largest and the most significant national Irish festival devoted to the celebration of Saint Patrick's Day, the country's protector, will take place on the 13th of March, 2008.
The festival will begin with the performance of a children's choir. During the days of the festival, which will last till the 17th of March, people can watch carnival processions, circus and theatrical performances, concerts, musical shows and fireworks. The culmination of the holiday will be a fancy-dress parade on Merrion Square in Dublin.
Since 1995 millions of guests from all over the world take part in the international festival that lasts for 4 days. |
