Euro-2008 fans will get no rooms in hotels.

3 Apr. 2008

No more rooms to book left in the hotels of Zürich, Bern, Geneva and Basel, where the European Football Championship matches will take place.

However, the fans could stay not only in hotels during the championship, because among the guests of the championship are cruise ships also popular, specially docked in Basel. Besides, the Euro Championship administration plans to host the fans in the temporary tent camps and private houses. On the whole, the Swiss cities expect about 330 thousands of guests.

Currently, only 18 thousands of places are booked out in the campings, but it is supposed that most of the places will be booked in the last minutes. The cost of a bed in the camp is 25-80 CHF-francs.
