This week, Abu-Dhabi, the capital of the UAE will host the beauty contest among the camels, where about 10 thousands of animals will take part.
This contest is a part of the camel festival that starts on Wednesday and is targeted to point the attention of the society to the conservation of the cultural heritage of the region.
The jury will inspect camels from Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The prise fund of the contest makes up $9,5 millions. Besides, the owners of the top heroes of the contest will get more than 100 of cars.
It is worth to mention that the first test-tube camel was created in Abu-Dhabi and the camel races are organized with the use of the robot-riders with remote control. |
