The fall of the air passenger chair load indicator in the planes in the beginning of February at all 4 of the largest avia-regions of the world, according to IATA, confirms the growing influence of recession in the USA on the world economy and world aviation industry.
According to IATA calculations, the chair load on the planes around the world has fallen down in February 2008 by 0,6 percent points - to 73,3%. This is the most significant fall during the last 4 years.
At that, the load of the planes in Europe has fallen by 1,6 points to 71,7%.
The most insignificant fall has been observed in the Asian-Pacific region (0,1%, to 75,2%). In North America the indicator for February was 74,0% (-0,5%), and in the Middle East - 72,6% (-0,9%). |
